Eat Drink & Be Merry

This is an annual community event to celebrate the feastday of St. Gregory the Great, hosted by alumni of Gregory the Great Academy.

We're bringing back feasting. Ticket sales and auction items benefit our beloved alma mater. We hope you can join the feast!

? Come prepared (and early) to tap the kegs! We'll also have water and seltzers. Maybe you'll be the lucky winner of a bottle of Scotch?! Stick around for the raffle...

? On the menu for dinner: smoked meats (think brisket and pulled pork) and classic BBQ sides made by St. Gregory's Academy alumni and their families.

? We will have hot dogs, pretzels, and baby carrots for the kids who need to eat a little earlier

? Take home a unique item from the silent auction

All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will go to benefit Gregory the Great Academy.

FAQ's

There is a parking lot at St Basil's and plenty of overflow parking in the school parking lot next door.

Really, nothing is needed, just yourself (if applicable don't forget your family!) But if you like to live in the lap of luxury, then bring comfy lawn chairs, extra musical instruments if you have them, and (if you still want to bring more stuff) a side, dessert, or favorite drink to share!

The tickets only apply to those that would normally have their own plate.

The cost of the tickets goes towards the cost of the amazing food, drink, and venue (we make a donation to St. Basil). All surplus funds will be donated to Gregory the Great Academy.

Yes! While this is primarily a community event meant to celebrate the feast day of St. Gregory, all proceeds from ticket sales, merchandise, and the auction will go to benefit Gregory the Great Academy.

Just...do your best? But did I mention there is meat?

“Repose, leisure, peace, belong among the elements of happiness. If we have not escaped from harried rush, from mad pursuit, from unrest, from the necessity of care, we are not happy. And what of contemplation? Its very premise is freedom from the fetters of workaday busyness.”

― Josef Pieper, Happiness and Contemplation
